Renaissance in England
The Henry George Foundation of Great Britain
is pleased to extend an invitation to a meeting to consider
RENAISSANCE IN ENGLAND
with
Adrian Bertoluzzi
This is a complementary talk in the present series of study sessions on the Laws of Plato and George’s insights into natural law in the government of society.
In previous talks, Adrian has explored the influences of Ficino and Plato on Rulers and Scholars in Florence and generally in Europe. In this talk, he will give further observations on how the Classical ideas took hold in England – notably by worthies such as John Colet, Sir Walter Raleigh, Shakespeare – and found favour by Queen Elizabeth I and her Court.
This talk will be self-contained and is not limited to those who are currently attending the series.
