Greg is a planning and development consultant. In his talk he will discuss the influence of town planning onland values together with related issues concerning finance, tax, globalisation and privatisation. He will describe the nature and extent of current UK planning policy, how planning applications are determined, and the various obligations that may attach to them. He will draw particular attention to questions surrounding ‘affordable housing’ issues. Greg will then open discussion on how planning arrangements might be improved so as to enable both the better use of land and fundamental tax reforms.
